Amazon builds 24/7 AI sales agent
The upgraded agent monitors accounts inventory and compliance while suggesting strategy and launching ads to help sellers run their shops around the clock
☕ Good morning,
The interesting part isn't the technology, it's how quickly everyone adapts when the old ways stop working.
When Amazon sellers realize they don't need to babysit their inventory anymore, or when Chinese companies discover they can build competitive chips without relying on imports, the ripple effects reshape everything downstream.
—Here’s to the first sip.

Amazon turns seller assistant into 24/7 AI agent

Image: Amazon
Amazon is giving its Seller Assistant a serious upgrade, it’s no longer just a tool that shows you numbers, it’s becoming an AI agent that actually works for you. Think of it like a co-pilot that runs 24/7, keeping an eye on your account, inventory, and even compliance. It’ll flag slow sellers before storage fees hit, suggest pricing tweaks, prep shipping plans, and even make sure your products meet regulations across countries.
Amazon says the agent isn’t just for maintenance either, it can analyze demand trends, help with strategy, and act when you give it the green light. On top of that, they’re extending it into advertising, where you’ll be able to spin up campaigns with just a prompt.

● Nvidia has been banned from selling AI chips in China after the Cyberspace Administration ordered firms like ByteDance and Alibaba to halt purchases. The ban blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D servers, designed specifically for China, as Beijing pushes local chipmakers instead. CEO Jensen Huang said he was “disappointed” but will stay patient, noting Nvidia can only serve markets that want them. The move follows earlier US export restrictions and could cost Nvidia billions in lost revenue. For China, it’s a major shift toward self-reliance in AI chips, but Nvidia’s tech remains unmatched globally.
● Google says its Nano Banana model, officially Gemini 2.5 Flash Image, has made India its No. 1 market with retro Bollywood portraits and “AI saree” trends going viral. Gemini app downloads in India hit 15.2M this year, surging 667% after the update and topping app charts on both iOS and Google Play. Users are also experimenting with Veo 3 to turn old family photos into short videos, adding to the app’s popularity. Despite leading in downloads, India contributes only 1.5% of Gemini’s in-app spending compared to the U.S.’s 35%. Google has added watermarks and SynthID tech to flag AI-generated content as privacy concerns rise over personal photo uploads.

Huawei challenges Nvidia with AI chip clusters

Image: Huawei
Huawei is going head-to-head with Nvidia. At its latest event, the company laid out a roadmap to take on Nvidia, starting with new SuperPod clusters that can link up to 15,488 Ascend NPUs into one massive AI system. The upcoming Ascend 950 chips and Huawei’s own high-bandwidth memory will power these clusters, with even more advanced chips (Ascend 960 in 2027, 970 in 2028) already in the pipeline.
Huawei claims its new Atlas 950 SuperPod will pack 6.7x the power of Nvidia’s next-gen NVL144, and it’s even planning a super cluster running on about 1 million AI chips. If a single chip can’t beat Nvidia, scale up with clusters until the gap shrinks.
This isn’t just about Huawei. It’s part of China’s bigger push to reduce reliance on U.S. tech. Washington has restricted Nvidia’s top-end chips from reaching China, and Beijing recently told companies like ByteDance and Alibaba to stop buying Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D. That’s opened the door for Huawei and rivals like Cambricon to step in.
Chinese tech stocks are already riding this wave of optimism, and Huawei is pushing itself as the strongest homegrown alternative in the AI race.

● Google will partner with StopNCII to block the spread of nonconsensual intimate images using hash-matching tech. Victims can create digital fingerprints of images, which partner platforms then use to stop reuploads without needing human review. Partners already include Meta, Reddit, OnlyFans, TikTok, Bumble, and Microsoft’s Bing — with Google joining after long delays. Advocates say the move is overdue and still leaves victims carrying the burden of self-reporting. Deepfakes remain outside StopNCII’s scope, leaving AI-generated abuse largely unaddressed.
● Nvidia is investing $5B in Intel, buying stock and teaming up to build custom data center and PC chips. Intel will develop x86 CPUs that integrate Nvidia RTX GPU chiplets, creating SoCs for future PCs and AI systems. The move strengthens their fight against AMD, which has been gaining ground with AI and gaming processors. Nvidia and Intel will also link their tech through NVLink to power advanced data centers. Intel’s stock surged 28% in pre-market trading after the deal, following recent US and SoftBank investments.

Meta’s latest Connect keynote was a full showcase of where it wants wearables, VR, and AR to head next. The biggest reveal was the Meta Ray-Ban Display glasses, which finally bring a screen into the mix. You can read texts, take calls, see captions, and even get walking directions right in your lens, all controlled by a wristband. They’ll start at $799 and launch September 30.
Alongside that, Meta refreshed its Ray-Ban smart glasses with almost double the battery life, 3K video recording, and new sound features for $379. For athletes, Meta teamed up with Oakley on the Vanguard glasses, built for sports with Strava and Garmin integration, slow-motion recording, and nine hours of battery, priced at $499.
On the VR side, Quest headsets are getting Hyperscape, which turns your real-world space into a digital playground, plus a new Horizon TV hub that brings streaming apps and Dolby Atmos support straight into VR. Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN are also on the way.
And behind it all, Meta is quietly upgrading its Horizon Engine to deliver better graphics, bigger worlds, and new AI-assisted creation tools.
